Basic Rules
1. Eight(8) Players per Side.
2. Each Player must bowl two Six(6) Ball overs and each pair of players must bat four overs.

3. Runs to be scored by:
The ball hitting the net from the bat into any of the following areas (see Figure 1.)
Zone B - One Run
Zone C - Two Runs
Zone D - Four Runs (Ball directly into net along the ground)
Zone DA - Six Runs (Ball directly into the net on the full)
Running between lines 1 & 2 whilst ball is "Live" - one run
Sundries(i.e.): No Balls, Wides, Leg Side Wides - two runs
4. Methods of Dismissal
1. Each Dismissal incurs minus 3 runs - batsmen remain at wicket for full 4 overs.
1. Bowled
2. Stumped
3. Run Out
4. Caught -
1. Off the bat or Hands
2. Off the nets - Excluding direct hit to zone DA
5. L.B.W. - only when a payer has offered no stroke to ball when if pitched it would have broken the wickets.
6. Interference - where a batsman obstructs fieldsmen or the ball in play deliberately
7. Mankad (i.e. non striker leaving crease before ball is delivered)
5. General Points:
1. Ball is "Live" from the time the Umpire calls "Play Ball".
2. Ball is dead only when:
1. A player is given out.
2. Ball leaves playing area.
3. Umpire calls "Over" or "Time out".
3. No more than four fieldsmen are allowed either side of line 2 (see Figure 1) at the time the ball is bowled.
4. Bowler must give fair timefor batsman to face up after completing a run.
5. In Competition, runs may be deducted for:
1. Time wasting
2. Misconduct
3. Incomplete number of players in team.
4. Conduct deemed to be out of "The Spirit of the Game".
NOTE
1. Playing apparel deemed not to be in the good image of Action Cricket is not allowed such as:
1. Bare Feet
2. Stockinged Feet
3. Jeans
4. Black soled shoes or takkies
5. General everyday footwear
6. All batsmen MUST wear batting gloves for reasons of safety.
7. All umpire's decisions and the game of Action Cricket are to be interpreted within "The Spirit of the Game".
